BREAD RUN – Daily deliveries of day old bread to local ministries
BREAKFAST BUNCH – The Breakfast Bunch meets at the Marysville Diner, Mondays at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome to join Pastor TC for breakfast and conversation. The conversation/topic may stem from questions from Sunday’s sermon or current events and world happenings. Come on out for breakfast, fellowship, and discussion.
CHOIR – Adult choir, Children’s choir, and Bell choir…make a joyful noise unto the Lord! See Amanda Bucher for more details on choir practices.
FAMILY FAITH BUILDERS/BINGO – Family Faith Builders/Bingo is a time for families (all ages & sizes) to “build” relationships through fun, family centered activities in a faith-based environment. The young and the young-at-heart come together to play a game of family bingo. Family bingo is free to play, and the prizes are kid-friendly. The Bethany Kitchen will be open with light meal options for you to purchase. (Menu will vary, but may include items like hot dogs, BBQ, drinks, chips, etc). Mark your calendars: 2023 – Oct 25, Nov 29, Dec 27; 2024-Jan 31, Feb 28, March 27
HANDS AND FEET MISSION WORKDAY (SHIREMANSTOWN UMC) – Bethany UMC is partnering with Shiremanstown UMC and the Hands & Feet Mission weekends. Can you pull weeds? Can you paint? Can you help organize cupboards? Can you help clean? All of the above have been mission weekend projects through Hands and Feet! Prayerfully consider how you can help (even if it is joining us for breakfast at Shiremanstown UMC to clear plates after the meal!). For more information see Ned Willard or visit their website at https://sumc.info/serve/hands-feet/
JOB SQUAD – There are lots of jobs to be done around 400 Lansvale. Some are larger and require a little elbow grease, but some are small and involve a little TLC to keep areas looking clean and welcoming! We join our collective powers and form the JOB SQUAD on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 8am till noon. Can you sweep the floor, empty trash, mow grass or do minor repairs like changing light bulbs? If you answered yes, then Job Squad is for you! See Ned Willard for more details.
MEN’S BREAKFAST: FOOD, FELLOWSHIP, FAITH – All men (young and young at heart) are invited to join local men’s groups in our community. Wesley UMC in Marysville: group meets 9am on the last Tuesday of the month at Wesley UMC; Shiremanstown UMC in Shiremanstown: group meets 7:30am at Shiremanstown UMC.
POT-LUCK DINNER CLUB– We meet the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6pm for a time to break bread & share in prayer and scripture. This is a time of open discussion on the “book of the month”. Read the book of the month and come on out the 1st Tuesday at 6pm to share what you read and discuss how the Word affected the 1st century Christians and effects our lives today. We will offer a word of grace to the Lord at 6pm for our meal, then discuss the book as we break bread together. Register (sign-up sheet) in the sanctuary, or call 717-957-2030 with your name, phone number, and number attending.
PRAYER CHAIN – We all need intercessory prayer. The brothers and sisters of Marysville Bethany are here to pray for you. Reach out to Pastor TC with your physical, emotional and spiritual needs and we will ignite the power of the Holy Spirit in your name.
PRAYER GROUP – There is no disputing that we are standing in the need of prayer! The Bethany Prayer Group meets weekly in the Sanctuary, lifting prayers for our church family, for our community, for local and global leaders, and more. Specific prayer requests should be given to Nedra Ansell or Pastor TC. This is an open group – all are welcome! Prayer Group meets Mondays at 10:00 a.m.
SOUL CARE – How goes it with your soul? This is a different question than “How are you today?” Just as we might feel sick physically, we can feel out-of-sorts with our spiritual health. We may even feel disconnected from the Lord. It is times like these that it is important to have a spiritual companion to walk with you. Pastor TC is available, by appointment, to walk with you as you work through your spiritual development and relationship with the Lord. For more information contact Pastor TC at 717-957-2030.
